Wish all of you much success
Hey everyone I am writing to wish all of you much success in this class, with your studies and life in general. I enjoyed lots of your work and of course Dr. Lo's interesting classes, especially his humor and his style.
I had to make a decision about my class workload and unfortunately I had to drop this class in order to focus on my remaining classes.
I look foreword to seeing your work online and on Fridays when I grab The Ranger.
Respectfully,
Roberto V.

Posting topic: Foreground and background cooperation
Foreground and background cooperation
Requirements:
1. Foreground and background must have some contributing effect among each other. That means, having them together will generate a much stronger meaning/feeling to the photo.
2. Fg and Bg need to be at different distance from the camera. One in front, one at the back.
3. Of course, no stage photos.
Happy hunting!

About Ranger assignment
I would like to remind you that you will need to have at least 3 Ranger assignments completed every month. Completed means edited, cutlined and have your self-critique turned in. Otherwise, you will not have a grade.
Also, it is the day that you shot the assignment that count, therefore, if you shot an assignment on Feb. 28, it is still count as Feb. assignment. And you have up to 7 days to turn in the critique. If you are late in turning in the critique, you will receive a 20% penalty.
According to the syllabus, I will pick the best 10 assignment grades to average your total assignment grade, however, any assignment that is lower than a passing grade (70 or below) will stay and not be replaced. That means, late assignments will probably be under 70 unless you did a very good job. Please keep that in mind.
Most of you have completed at least 3 assignments in Feb. and have your critiques turned in on time. However, there are a few of you did not satisfy the requirement. The policy is that if you have less than 3 assignments completed in Feb., your next assignment completed in March will be put into Feb. and considered as a late assignment and will be receiving late penalty of 20%. It will eventually affect your final grade. Please act immediately to catch up.
For more information on Ranger assignments, please go to wk3 on ACES or Classroom server and look for "about Ranger assignments.pdf."

Hula Hoop
I took this at the ASL talent show- hope it's okay to use here! I was trying to get the hoop's movement but blurred too much of the performer too... I guess we learn through our mistakes. ::sigh::
pre-midterm quiz
I was disappointed that my guess was a bit off on your average grades on the pre-midterm exam. After finished grading all your quizzes, we have 2 students over 90, 2 students over 80, and 2 students over 70. The rest of the class are below 70. That means we have half of the class failed the quiz.
I double-checked my questions and answers and I am pretty sure they should be something that students in this class should know to pass this class. Therefore, I sincerely hope that for those of you who do not pass this quiz or barely pass this quiz to study harder for the coming mid-term. I will put more or less the same type of questions in the mid-term but of course, I will change the way I ask or change some numbers or answers. Please study the material from week 1 - week 7 more seriously. Come talk to me if you have any difficulty understanding the material.
